HANMIGLOBAL appoints former Avison Young chief client officer as global business director

HanmiGlobal, the Korean-headquartered project and construction management firm, has appointed former Avison Young Principal & Chief Client Officer, James Porter, as Global Business Director.

HanmiGlobal’s international platform includes UK specialists K2 Construction Management and Walker Sime, bringing leading expertise in construction management, project management and cost consultancy. James’s appointment forms part of the Group’s ongoing international strategy to strengthen its global client platform.

This growth is being driven by increasing demand across complex, capital-intensive sectors, spanning advanced manufacturing, energy transition and technology, illustrated by major programmes such as SeAH Wind, alongside continued investment in healthcare and residential development.

In his new role, James will provide leadership and direction for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic positioning across multiple countries and regions. This critical role sits at the intersection of HanmiGlobal’s strategy, sales leadership, partnerships, and operational alignment between their businesses in the UK, Korea, the US and the Middle East, supporting the delivery of joined-up solutions for clients with international operations.

James joins HanmiGlobal with extensive senior leadership experience in strategic client management and programme delivery. He was formerly a Partner and Regional Managing Director at Arcadis in the UK, before holding executive roles at Avison Young, including Managing Director of Occupier Solutions and Chief Client Officer.
